Okay, I am going to put you on a 1400 calorie a day plan, considering you consume about 2000 a day right now. I want you to exercize everyday, and yes, doing Pilates would be ideal. They are excellent for toning and firming. You also burn about 500 - 600 calories per hour while doing them. I am going to ume you are about 5'4" feet tall. so that means, at your weight, your body burns between 1600 calories a day. So, buring about 2200 calories on a 1400 calorie a day plan, you will taking about 800 calories off a pound of fat a day. A pound of fat is 3500 calories. So, roughly, you will be losing 1 pound every four days. You can lose even more by doing some more activies. running, walking, swimming. the choice is yours! Alrighty, onto your plan. Eating 6 small portioned meals a day is better for you than eating 3 bigger meals. It gives your metabolism a boost. This will also lead to burning more calories daily. Your Diet: In the morning, have something like a bowl of fruit or light yogurt. Drink 8 oz. of either fat free milk or light orange juice. Eat a snack about an hour later. An apple or banana. For lunch, eat somthing with some substance and fiber. Fiber is great. It helps digest foods faster to make you feel 'lighter' in the morning, if you know what I mean. So, this is your time to get some carbs and try to get some protein, as well!. Eat a plain bagel, or maybe a protein bar. They are really good for providing some energy and filling you up. Make sure there is not more than 8 grams of fat in one, though. Also, have some carrot sticks or another veggie of you choice. For another snack / meal, I would eat a serving of vegetables. Satee some broccoli and zuccini. You could also steam it. You might even want to put it in a mini whole grain wrap with a bit of light cheese. If you go with the latter, you will want to have a lighter dinner. The journey from lunch to dinner is a long one. You might even want another snack. Have some nuts or maybe some cranberries. The nuts will give you important vitamins and the cranberries will give you antioxidents. Hey, try a trail mix!. Now, to dinner. Make sure you eat dinner at least 2 or 3 hours before you go to bed. If you go to bed with a full stomach, you will feel really bloated in the morning. For a dinner though, you should eat chicken or lean burger. And if you pair that with a whole grain bun another serving of veggies of your choice, you will be good! You should eat a salad with this, put light dressing on top. For beverages, drink water after you have had your breakfast drink. This will help clean you out. Now, if you are like me, I do enjoy my deserts. Blend in a blender 1 / 2 cup skim milk, berries, and ice. You will get a yummy, sweet drink. Add some splenda, or a bit of sugar, depending on your mood. This diet has about 1400 total in it. If you want to drop about 200 calories out of it, take out the second snack before dinner. 1200 calories is still a heathly amount to be losing weight at, just do not settle on that. Your body does need the extra 200 calories somedays! Good luck!
